Leftovers?? Ever thought of homemade caramel popcorn?
Recipe:
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
2 sticks margarine
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
6 quarts popcorn
In a saucepan combine sugar, corn syrup, margarine and salt. Bring to rapid boil over medium flame stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in baking soda and mix well. Immediately pour over popcorn and stir until well coated. Place in a large baking pan and bake at 2oo degrees in a preheated oven for one hour. Stir 3 or 4 times while baking. Store in a tightly closed container.
